Modelled on the successful Sportsnite format, Sportsview will bring sports fans up to date with sporting news and go behind the scenes to engage with sports personalities. The show focuses on the success and personal development, bringing stories of triumph and hardships, providing viewers with an exciting and intelligent all round national sports coverage.
Sportsview will be shot on all formats including Higher Definition (HD), with an interactive component giving viewers the opportunity to participate in the inserts.
Sportsview will honour icons that have made their respective sporting careers, given their hardships, lack of sponsorship and sometimes no family support.
The show will include the major sporting codes but will also cover the top 26 popular sports Olympic disciplines in SA on the road to the 2012 London Olympics.
