In this classic story Hercules, upon his return to his home in the city of Thebes, finds his home devastated and his family missing. Cursing his own mortality to the heavens, Hercules raises the wrath of the gods. They send him on the most impossible of journeys where he must battle mythical creatures and monsters of legends, and perform the most difficult tasks before he is reunited with his mortal wife and beloved family.
It is then that Hercules chooses mortality and life on earth over the immortality that the gods offer him, having gained wisdom, companionship, and their respect through his heroic adventures.
