Interspersed in the interview will be pre-recorded interviews with colleagues, friends and family that provide commentary on the matters being discussed. These interviews will also provide a deeper context for the Titan, divulging more about their approach to their career and who they are to their family and friends.
The relaxed setting and ease of questioning will allow for an open, candid conversation that reveal aspects of the Titan, both in their work and private life that may not have been disclosed before. The Titan will be given the rare opportunity of unequivocally sharing their life, thoroughly unpacking and reliving transformative moments in their careers.
"SABC2 is making more room for its Family, creating a space for us to be inspired and to learn from fellow South Africans who have paved the way. From Dr Maponya to Dr Esther Mahlangu, this docu-series is a wealth of experience that the channel is exposing our viewers to. The interviews take you deeper into how their journeys started - the pitfalls, the challenges and successes they went through to finally be where they are today. One of the SABC2 channel pillars is 'world exposure' and it is through docu-series like these where we pat ourselves with pride as Africans that we have Titans we can look up to, whom we can see the world through and believe it's possible. This indeed is a must-watch for all. ” said SABC TV Channels Head of Publicity, Zandile Nkonyeni.
