The Big Debate returns to SABC2 with new presenter
Dubbed South Africa's national conversation programme about the country's affairs and future, The Big Debate returns on SABC 2 with a riverting brand new season.
The new season premieres on the 25th of November 2017 at 19H00 and will be hosted by seasoned journalist and award-winning author, Redi Tlhabi.
As South Africa enters its 24th year of democracy, pressing questions face us as a country. Are we on track to build a non-racial society, where every life is valued and everyone has peace and prosperity? Do racism, gender-based violence, xenophobia and personal greed threaten our future? Why are deep poverty and extreme wealth on the increase? Do we have the leaders we need to renew our democracy? What role can ordinary people play?
The Big Debate will tackle these issues and more in a special season of town hall discussions titled “SA at a Crossroads”. Furthermore, it will give a voice to the poor majority and hold leaders to account.
The Big Debate will also be simulcast on SAfm.
