South African pride walked the stage last night as our very own Miss South Africa, stunning Bokang Montjane, was called as one of 7 finalists in the Miss World 2011 competition, held in the auditorium of Earls Court Two, London.
The 25-year old Joburg beauty has a diploma in PR management and is super talented and even more eloquent when faced with tough questions in front of millions. Montjane also holds titles as Miss Teen Limpopo 2004, Miss UJ 2006, Miss Earth South Africa 2007, Miss International South Africa 2009, Face of Fashion Eastgate 2010 and Miss Rivonia 2010. Miss SA held her own amongst the world's beauties, competing with 113 women to make it into the final stages of the competition. The final three spots were however not to include Montjane.
Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos was named Miss World and her runners up were Miss Philippines Gwendoline Ruais, first and Miss Puerto Rico, Amanda Perez, second.
