Childline Gauteng
The establishment of a culture of respect for all children's rights as outlined in the South African Bill of Rights and Constitution, is essential to the continued well-being of our communities and the future stability of our country. Children's inherent right to: a name and nationality; family or alternative care; nutrition; shelter; education; health and social services; protection from maltreatment, neglect, abuse and degradation; exploitative labour practices; freedom from detention; and, protection from armed conflict, are sadly often violated. These violations impinge on children's right to equality, human dignity, and life which ultimately stunts their happiness, growth and development.

The Sunflower Fund
The Sunflower Fund is a non-profit organisation formed in 1999 by a group of parents whose children were diagnosed with leukaemia and in some cases had lost their battle.
A donation of blood stem cells can offer the chance of continued life and can restore health to people suffering from life-threatening diseases, such as leukaemia, aplastic anaemia, immune deficiencies, inborn errors of metabolism as well as other new indications for auto-immune disorders.
The Sunflower Fund aims to educate and recruit a viable source of well informed potential bone marrow stem cell donors who are ethnically diverse, in an effort to save the lives of those needing a transplant when suffering from life-threatening blood disorders;
Enquiries can be made through their toll free number 0800 12 10 82.
